What is the Peugeot 3008?
The Peugeot 3008 began as a family crossover with a flexible, MPV-like cabin. Its second generation moved to a more SUV-focused design, and the latest generation has a fastback-style silhouette with electric versions alongside hybrid and combustion choices. It sits in Peugeot’s range as a family-sized crossover.
Across its generations, the 3008 has broadened from petrol and diesel choices to include hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric versions. The shape and character have changed too, from the first model’s emphasis on cabin flexibility to the more SUV-led styling of later versions.
3008 generations, engines and power
The 3008 I ran from 2009 to 2016, followed by the 3008 II from 2016 to 2023. The 3008 III began in 2024 and continues today. EU figures cover engine sizes from 1.2 to 2.0 litres and power from 73 kW (99 PS) to 182 kW (247 PS). UK figures range from 82 kW (111 PS) to 240 kW (326 PS). French figures list 1.6-litre engines, with outputs from 82 kW (111 PS) to 133 kW (181 PS).
Plug-in hybrid consumption figures are weighted results that assume part of the driving is electric. They use a different basis from figures for petrol, diesel or conventional hybrid versions.
Fuel consumption and where it was sold
The lowest listed EU consumption for petrol, diesel and hybrid versions is 1.5 L/100 km on WLTP; the lowest plug-in hybrid figure is 1.1 L/100 km on WLTP. In the UK, the corresponding figures are 3.3 L/100 km on NEDC for petrol, diesel and hybrid versions, and 4.6 L/100 km on WLTP for a plug-in hybrid. France lists 3.3 L/100 km on NEDC and 1.2 L/100 km on WLTP for a plug-in hybrid.
The model appears in EU registration figures from 2010 to 2025, UK VCA figures from 2010 to 2026, and French ADEME figures from 2012 to 2026. European test procedures differ: older results may use NEDC, while newer results use WLTP. The USA uses EPA testing and Canada uses the 5-cycle procedure, so figures from these markets are not directly equivalent.
