What is the Jaguar E-Pace?

The E-Pace is Jaguar’s compact SUV, with a raised driving position and a practical cabin in a smaller package than the F-Pace. Its shape brings a sporty edge to an everyday family car. Jaguar introduced the model in 2017; its first generation ran from 2018 to 2024.

Generations, engines and power

The E-Pace has one generation, code X540. Its EU engine range spans 1.5 to 2.0 litres, with power from 110 kW (150 PS) to 221 kW (300 PS). EU versions include petrol, diesel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and E85 flex-fuel options.

How economical is the Jaguar E-Pace?

The lowest EU consumption figure for petrol, diesel or hybrid versions is 5.4 L/100 km on WLTP. The plug-in hybrid’s lowest weighted figure is 1.5 L/100 km WLTP. That figure assumes some driving is electric, so it is not directly comparable with a conventional engine’s result.

The lowest UK figure is 4.7 L/100 km on NEDC. US EPA figures start at 9.8 L/100 km, or 24 MPG combined, while Canada’s 5-cycle rating starts at 9.8 L/100 km. Test procedures differ: Europe uses WLTP or older NEDC figures, the US uses EPA testing, and Canada uses its 5-cycle procedure.

Where was the E-Pace sold?

Official figures cover the EU, UK, United States and Canada. EU registrations span 2017–2025, while the first generation ran from 2018 to 2024. The UK and US figures cover 2018–2024; Canada’s cover 2019–2024.

Official figures are measured on standard test procedures and differ between markets. Your consumption depends on how, where and in what conditions you drive.
