What is the smart #3?

The smart #3 is an all-electric SUV coupé, with the higher stance of an SUV and a sloping roofline. It sits alongside the #1 in smart’s electric range, which has grown beyond the compact city cars that first made the brand known. The #3 suits everyday driving for people drawn to a sportier shape and a spacious-feeling cabin.

Introduced in 2023, the #3 was smart’s first SUV coupé. Its design, by Mercedes-Benz’s global design team, gives it a sportier character than the more upright #1.

Generations

The #3 has one generation, introduced in 2023 and continuing today. It followed smart’s move towards an all-electric range with a broader choice of body styles. The #3 brought a lower, more flowing profile to the compact SUV line-up.
