What is the Renault Grand Scénic?
The Grand Scénic is the longer, family-focused member of Renault’s Scénic people-carrier range. Its MPV shape gives the cabin a flexible layout, and some versions were offered with seven seats. The Scénic line began as Renault’s compact family MPV, positioned between the larger Espace and the small Twingo. The fourth generation brought a more crossover-like design while retaining the family-car focus.
Grand Scénic generations
The second generation ran from 2004 to 2009 (JM), followed by the third from 2009 to 2016 (JZ). The fourth generation, code R9, ran from 2016 to 2023. Renault refreshed the design across generations, and the final version gave the people carrier a more crossover-influenced look.
