Who is DR?

DR is an Italian car brand based in Macchia d’Isernia, in the Molise region. The company made its debut with the DR 5, an SUV, and has built its name around a range that includes practical SUVs alongside smaller city cars. The group introduced its EVO brand in 2020, broadening the line-up under a second name.

What models make up the range?

The model names trace a long-running core of DR 3 and DR 5, both listed from 2010 through 2025, with the DR 6 joining in 2019. Smaller early entries include the DR 1 and DR 2, while CITY CROSS and ZERO appear for shorter periods. The line-up later grew to include numbered updates such as DR 3.0, DR 4.0, DR 5.0, DR 6.0 and DR 7.0, alongside brief DR 30, DR 40, DR 60 and DR 70 entries.

EVO adds another strand from 2020, with EVO 3, EVO 4 and EVO 5 among its longer-running models, plus EVO 6 and EVO 7. The range also includes F35, ART E3 and the electric EQ1. In EU registration figures, the DR 5.0 leads among the listed models with 23,387 registrations in 2021–2025; the DR 4.0 and DR 3 follow with 13,216 and 11,697 respectively.

How has the range developed?

The early line-up established the DR 3 and DR 5 as enduring nameplates, while the DR 1 and DR 2 were part of the range from 2010 to 2014. Later years brought a broader set of model names and more frequent revisions: the DR 4 was followed by the DR 4.0, and the DR 5, DR 6 and DR 7 gained .0 versions. Alongside those updates, EVO models expanded the group’s choice of compact and larger vehicles.

Electrification appears in the model list through ART E3 and EQ1, as well as the EVO line. Check the specific model and year to see which versions are electric.

Where are DR cars listed?

The market figures here are for European Union registrations. They show a range spanning 2010–2025, with the most registered models concentrated in the more recent period: DR 5.0, DR 4.0 and EVO 5 all feature strongly in 2021–2025 EU figures. Test-cycle figures can differ between regions: Europe uses WLTP or, for older cars, NEDC; the USA uses EPA procedures and Canada uses a 5-cycle test.
