What is the Peugeot 207?
The Peugeot 207 is a small car that followed the 206 in the Peugeot range. It arrived in 2006 as a hatchback, with an estate-style SW and folding-roof coupé-cabriolet joining the line-up. The different body styles gave it a practical side as well as an open-air option.
The 207 carried Peugeot’s small-car tradition into a more substantial design. It had one generation, known by the code A7, and was sold through 2014.
Generations, engines and power
The 207’s EU range covered petrol, diesel, LPG and other fuel types. Engine sizes ran from 1.0 to 1.6 litres, with power from 50 kW (68 PS) to 115 kW (156 PS). In the UK, listed engines ranged from 1.4 to 1.6 litres, and power from 52 kW (71 PS) to 131 kW (177 PS).
Diesel versions were prominent in EU registrations. The most registered configurations included 1.6-litre diesels, including a 68 kW (92 PS) version.
Fuel consumption and where it was sold
The lowest listed consumption is 3.8 L/100 km in UK VCA figures, measured on the NEDC test. France’s lowest listed figure is 4.2 L/100 km, also on NEDC. Actual consumption varies by version and driving conditions.
The 207 appears in EU registration figures from 2010 to 2016, UK VCA figures from 2006 to 2014, and French ADEME figures from 2012 to 2015. European NEDC figures use a different test procedure from WLTP results; the USA uses EPA testing and Canada uses the 5-cycle procedure.
