What is the Mitsubishi Montero Sport?

The Montero Sport is an SUV in Mitsubishi’s Pajero Sport line. Mitsubishi used the Montero Sport name in North America; the same line was known by other names in different markets.

With an enclosed cabin and SUV body, the Montero Sport offered a different format from Mitsubishi’s pickup line while sharing the Pajero Sport name family.

Generation and engines

The first generation, codes K80 and K90, ran from 1997 to 2004 in the US and Canada. In the UK, it ran from 2000 to 2007.
