What is the CUPRA Tavascan?

The Tavascan is CUPRA’s all-electric SUV coupé, combining an SUV body with a sloping, coupé-inspired profile. Its design draws on the Tavascan show car presented in 2019, with sculpted surfaces and distinctive lighting that reflect CUPRA’s design identity.

CUPRA grew from SEAT’s performance identity into a standalone brand in 2018. The Tavascan carries that sporting character into an electric vehicle. Its first generation spans 2024 to today.

Engines and power

Every Tavascan version in the European Union range is electric. Power runs from 77 kW (105 PS) to 250 kW (340 PS). The 210 kW (286 PS) version recorded 17,872 registrations in 2025 and 1,494 in 2024. The 250 kW (340 PS) version recorded 6,120 in 2025.

These are different outputs within the first-generation Tavascan, rather than separate generations.

European Union registrations

The Tavascan recorded 30,562 European Union registrations in 2023–2025. Its first generation spans 2024 to today.

Test procedures differ between markets: Europe uses WLTP or, for some older figures, NEDC; the USA uses EPA testing; Canada uses a 5-cycle procedure.
