What is the Cadillac Allanté?
The Allanté was a two-seat luxury roadster in Cadillac’s range, with a body styled by Italian design house Pininfarina. Sold in the United States from 1987 to 1993, it was built as a single generation on Cadillac’s V-body platform.
Its unusual production journey helped set it apart: Pininfarina made the bodies in Italy, then they were flown to the United States for final assembly. The result brought an Italian-designed open body to Cadillac’s lineup of luxury cars.
