What it means
The control module monitors supply circuit A for the generator inverter for electrical continuity. It sets this code when it detects an open or interrupted supply circuit.
At a glance
- Usually lights the check-engine light
- The engine or gearbox may go into limp mode
How it works
Supply circuit A provides electrical power to the generator inverter, and the control module monitors whether that supply path is continuous. P0E0F sets when the circuit is open or interrupted, for example by a broken supply wire, a blown fuse, or a terminal pushed back in its connector.
Common causes
Most likely first.
- Open in supply wire
- Supply fuse blown
- Pin pushed back out of connector body
Symptoms
- Hybrid/EV system warning light may turn on
- Reduced power or charging performance
How to diagnose it
- Record freeze-frame data and scan for related inverter supply codes to establish when supply circuit A lost continuity.
- Inspect the supply circuit A fuse and its connections, checking for a blown element or poor contact.
- With the high-voltage system made safe under the manufacturer's procedure, inspect the supply A harness and connector for damage, loose terminals, or a pin pushed out of position.
- Use the wiring diagram to test circuit A for continuity from its supply point to the inverter and check for an unintended open.
- If the wiring and fuse pass, test the inverter supply connection and upstream feed according to the manufacturer's procedure.
Common fixes
- Replace a blown supply A fuse after checking for the fault that caused it to blow.
- Reseat or repair a pushed-back or loose supply A connector terminal.
- Repair an open or damaged supply A wire.
- Restore a faulty upstream supply connection identified during testing.
Can I keep driving?
If hybrid power or charging is reduced, avoid long trips and stop safely if propulsion becomes unreliable. A continuing supply interruption can leave the generator inverter unavailable and may further limit vehicle operation.
A code shows where the control module detected a fault, not always which part failed. Check the causes in order and confirm with a test before replacing parts. Have several codes? Check them together
This is a generic code: it means the same on every make. The car’s maker may add more detail in its own service information.
