OBD-II fault code

B0134: A/V Sensor Washer Fluid F Control Circuit

What it means

The control module monitors the control circuit for A/V sensor washer fluid pump F. It sets this code when the circuit’s electrical response is outside the expected range or the pump does not respond as commanded.

At a glance

  • Usually lights the airbag (SRS) or body-system warning light

How it works

The A/V sensor washer system uses pump F to send cleaning fluid to an audio/video sensor lens. The control module monitors pump F’s control circuit and sets B0134 when its electrical response is out of range or the pump fails to respond to a command.

Common causes

Most likely first.

  1. Failed washer fluid pump
  2. Open or shorted pump wiring
  3. Loose or corroded connector
  4. Blown fuse or power supply fault
  5. Blocked pump or washer-fluid passage

Symptoms

  • Warning light or symbol related to the affected system
  • Comfort or safety function impaired

How to diagnose it

  1. Review freeze-frame data and scan for other washer or sensor codes to see whether the fault is limited to pump F.
  2. Check washer-fluid level, then command pump F with a scan tool if supported and verify that it runs and delivers fluid.
  3. Inspect pump F’s wiring and connector for damage, corrosion, looseness, or fluid intrusion.
  4. Test the fuse, power, ground, and control wiring for pump F against the wiring diagram and manufacturer’s specification.
  5. If the circuit passes, check pump F and its hose and sensor nozzle for a blockage.

Common fixes

  • Refill the washer reservoir if it is low.
  • Clear a blocked passage or nozzle in pump F’s fluid path.
  • Repair an open, short, damaged wire, or poor connector contact at pump F.
  • Replace the failed fuse after correcting its underlying cause.
  • Replace pump F if it does not operate with correct power, ground, and control.

Can I keep driving?

The vehicle may be drivable, but the A/V sensor served by pump F may not be cleaned and its related assistance function may be impaired. Clean the sensor when safe and avoid depending on that feature until the washer operates properly.

A code shows where the control module detected a fault, not always which part failed. Check the causes in order and confirm with a test before replacing parts. Have several codes? Check them together

This is a generic code: it means the same on every make. The car’s maker may add more detail in its own service information.
