The Encore was a hatchback in the Renault Alliance family, based on the Renault 11 and sold in North America. It brought a hatchback body style to the Alliance range, which also included the Renault Alliance saloon.

The Encore generation ran from 1984 to 1986 and carried the X42 code. It was offered as a three-door or five-door hatchback.
