Built-up area ends

Leaving a built-up area: the rules specific to that area end.

The sign marks the end of a built-up area for traffic rules. The speed limit beyond it depends on the country, road and any posted restrictions. It does not cancel every restriction that may apply.

Poland’s D-43 shows a black silhouette of buildings on white, crossed by a red diagonal bar. France’s EB20 shows the place name in black on white, with a black border and a red diagonal bar.
