Built-up area begins

Entering a built-up area: its speed limits and traffic rules apply.

The sign marks the start of a built-up area for traffic rules. This boundary need not coincide with the administrative boundary of a town or village. Observe the applicable speed limit and any additional restrictions.

Poland’s D-42 is a white rectangular sign with a black silhouette of buildings and a black border. France’s EB10 shows the place name in black on a white rectangular panel with a red border.
