Lane layout ahead

Shows the arrangement of lanes or where lanes begin or end.

Read the diagram to understand the lane arrangement and any change ahead. Depending on the sign, it may show an additional lane, a lane ending or the direction of traffic in each lane.

Lane arrows are commonly shown on a square or rectangular panel. France C30 specifically indicates the end of an overtaking section with three lanes, so the diagram needs to be read as a particular road layout.

How it looks in each country

Official sign in each country; the code is its number in the national rules. Signs that come in two directions show the left and the right version.
