    Remedy
In the rare case that the vehicle does not comply the vehicle will be removed from the road and the customer will be provided with a replacement vehicle.
  40. Rear brake calliper bolts may loosen

Reported January 28, 2013Model years 2012DVSA recall R/2013/0104 vehicles affected

Incorrect tightening torque may cause a rear brake calliper mounting bolt to loosen, sometimes increasing braking noise. The bolts will be replaced and tightened to the correct torque.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
REAR BRAKE CALLIPER MOUNTING BOLT COULD WORK LOOSE
    Defect
The tightening torque of the rear brake calliper mounting bolts could be incorrect. This incorrect tightening torque may in very rare cases eventually lead to the slackening of the bolt and an increase in noise during braking
    Remedy
Replace the bolts and tighten to the correct torque
  41. Rear door window motor may overheat

Reported August 30, 2011Model years 2009–2011DVSA recall R/2011/1095,248 vehicles affected

Water entering a rear door may reach the window motor, causing failure, a short circuit, overheating and possibly a fire. A protective shield will be fitted.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
REAR DOOR WINDOW MECHANISM MAY OVERHEAT
    Defect
It is possible that water entering the rear door could penetrate the electric window motor. This could cause failure of the motor a short circuit overheating and possibly a fire.
    Remedy

The fuel return pipe may rub against the diesel filter support and wear through, potentially causing a fuel leak. Protection will be added to the pipe to prevent wear.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    FUEL MAY LEAK
    Defect
On some 2.0 l HDI vehicles potential contact between the fuel return pipe and the diesel filter support may eventually cause the pipe to become worn through friction.
    Remedy
The manufacturer has requested that some protection be added to the pipe to ensure its long-term resistance to wear.
  43. Water may cause a short circuit in the window motor

Reported January 31, 2011Model years 2009–2010DVSA recall R/2011/0073,270 vehicles affected

Water entering the rear doors may reach the electric window motor and cause it to malfunction. Over time, it may cause a short circuit and local heating of the door panel. Additional protection will be fitted to the rear window motors.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    SHORT CIRCUIT MAY OCCUR
    Defect
Water entering the rear doors may enter the electric window motor causing the mechanism to malfunction. In the long-term the presence of water may cause a short circuit in the motor leading to localised heating of the door panel.
    Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to fit additional protection on the rear electric window motors.
