  1. Particulate filter pipe may cause an electrical arc

    Reported March 9, 2026Model years 2026EU Safety Gate SR/00818/26

Contact or insufficient clearance (< 10 mm) between the petrol particulate filter pipe and the 48 V belt starter generator terminal cap may let water in when wet. This can cause an electrical arc and overheating, which may lead to fire. The recall remedy is to recall the product from end users.

    Defect
The vehicle may have contact, or insufficient clearance (< 10 mm), between the petrol particulate filter pipe and the terminal protection cap of the 48 V belt starter generator. In wet conditions, the insufficient clearance and possible contact between these components can lead to water infiltration, causing an electric arc, that could trigger a thermal event, such as overheating, which may lead to fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
    Remedy
Recall of the product from end users
    Notes
    Notified by France
  2. Brake valve block may leak internally

    Reported April 14, 2025Model years 2024EU Safety Gate SR/02105/25

Incomplete casting around the valves may let brake fluid leak inside the valve block, lowering fluid levels and disabling stability control. Fluid may also damage the circuit board and disable control functions, including ABS and electronic brake force distribution. The product is recalled from end users.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Injuries
    Defect
The aluminium of the EBS valve block may not fully cast around the valves. This can lead to an internal leak of brake fluid (from one or more of the 12 valve seats) resulting in a reduction of the fluid level and the deactivation of stability control due to damage to the pressure sensor. The brake fluid could come into contact with the printed circuit board and result in the deactivation of all control functions (including the anti-lock system and electronic brake force distribution). The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
    Remedy
Recall of the product from end users
    Notes
    Notified by France
  3. Engine software may cause loss of propulsion

    Reported March 24, 2025Model years 2022–2023EU Safety Gate SR/01465/25

Software may fail to prevent a sudden engine stop, leaving Ready mode unavailable after starting or causing loss of propulsion and an engine cut-out while driving, increasing accident and injury risk. The product is recalled from end users.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Injuries
    Defect
The software supposed to prevent the engine from stopping suddenly and to transmit data to customer service is not working properly. This can lead the ‘Ready’ mode to be unavailable after the vehicle has been started, to a propulsion's loss and to the engine suddenly cutting out while driving. This increases the risk of accidents and injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
    Remedy
Recall of the product from end users
    Notes
    Notified by France
  4. Oil jet nozzles may be damaged

    Reported February 19, 2025Model years 2022EU Safety Gate SR/00881/25

Damaged oil jet cooling nozzles may fail to cool the crankshaft or pistons, potentially causing engine damage, a stall and oil leaking onto the exhaust pipe, which could start a fire. The product is recalled from end users.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Fire
    Defect
The oil jet cooling nozzles may be damaged. Failure to cool the crankshaft and/or pistons can cause damage to them and result in the engine stalling. This can lead to a hole forming in the engine casing, causing oil leaks onto the exhaust pipe. This can cause a fire to start in the engine compartment, causing the vehicle to catch fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
    Remedy
Recall of the product from end users
    Notes
    Notified by France
  5. Steering motor parts may detach and block steering

    Reported September 11, 2024Model years 2024EU Safety Gate A12/02726/24

A crack inside the steering rack's electric power steering motor may cause plastic parts to detach from the worm wheel, potentially blocking steering and increasing accident and injury risk. The product is to be recalled from end users.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Injuries
    Defect
A crack located inside the Electric Power Steering motor of the steering rack can cause plastic parts to detach from the worm wheel. This can lead to a steering blockage, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
    Remedy
Recall of the product from end users

  6. Motor control unit fault may cause loss of propulsion

    Reported April 15, 2024Model years 2023–2024EU Safety Gate A11/00057/24

A faulty motor control unit may open the clutch and cause an unexpected loss of propulsion, increasing accident risk. The product is to be recalled from end users.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Injuries, Security
    Defect
The Motor Control Unit (MCU) may be faulty, resulting in that the clutch opens and an unexpected loss of propulsion. This increases the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
