  1. Interior mirror may detach from windscreen

Reported July 3, 2026Model years 2026DVSA recall R/2026/250320 vehicles affected

Insufficient bonding may allow the interior rear-view mirror to come partially or completely detached, impairing visibility. If it detaches in an accident, injury risk may increase. Replace the windscreen on all affected vehicles.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
Check the Interior Mirror Holder Replace if Necessary
    Defect
The Safety Recall relates to the interior rear-view mirror. The interior mirror mounting plate may not have been bonded to the windscreen sufficiently. Due to an insufficient adhesive surface on the mounting plate (bracket) the rearview mirror could become partially or even completely detached from the windshield. If the rearview mirror becomes partially or even completely detached this could impair the visibility while driving. In the event of an accident this could increase the risk of injury.
    Remedy
The windscreen will be replaced on all vehicles.
  2. High-voltage battery cells may short circuit

Reported September 4, 2025Model years 2024DVSA recall R/2025/32214 vehicles affected

Battery cells may not meet specifications and could short circuit, increasing the risk of a thermal event even when parked. The affected battery cell module will be replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
HV Battery Cell Module MINI J01 J05
    Defect
On affected vehicles specific cells of the HV battery may not have been produced according to specification. This could result in a short circuit and could increase the risk of a thermal event even when the vehicle is parked.
    Remedy
On affected vehicles the affected cell module of the HV battery will be replaced.
  3. High-voltage battery cells may be damaged

Reported May 22, 2025Model years 2024DVSA recall R/2025/18734 vehicles affected

Some high-voltage battery cells may have been damaged during production handling. The affected battery cell module will be replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
HV Battery Cell Module MINI J01 J05
    Defect
On affected vehicles specific cells of the High Voltage battery may have been pre-damaged during production handling.
    Remedy
Affected vehicles will have the affected cell module of the HV battery replaced.
  4. High voltage battery cells may cause a thermal event

Reported May 1, 2025Model years 2024DVSA recall R/2025/165107 vehicles affected

Battery cells that may not meet specifications could cause a thermal event, even when the vehicle is not in use. The affected cells will be replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
HV Battery Cell Module MINI J01 J05
    Defect
On affected vehicles specific cells of the High Voltage battery may not have been produced according to specification. This could lead to the risk of a thermal event even when the vehicle is not in operation.
    Remedy
Affected cells of the High Voltage battery will be replaced.
  5. High-voltage battery cell module may not meet specifications

Reported December 17, 2024Model years 2024DVSA recall R/2024/499203 vehicles affected

A high-voltage battery cell module may not have been produced to specification. The affected cell module will be replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
Replace the high-voltage battery cell module
    Defect
On affected vehicles specific cell modules of the High Voltage (HV) battery may not have been produced according to specification.
    Remedy
Replacement of the affected cell module of the High Voltage (HV) battery will be replaced.
  6. Brake servomotor weld may fail

Reported October 24, 2024Model years 2024DVSA recall R/2024/41527 vehicles affected

The brake servomotor weld may not withstand high brake pressure, increasing the effort needed to brake and potentially lengthening stopping distance. The hydraulic brake unit will be replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    Hydraulic Brake System Unit Replacement
    Defect
On affected vehicles the brake servomotor was improperly welded. The weld seam might not withstand the stresses caused under high brake pressure leading to a requirement for a higher brake effort increasing the braking distance.
    Remedy
Affected vehicles will have the hydraulic unit of the brake system replaced.
  7. High-voltage battery cell may short circuit

Reported September 16, 2024Model years 2024DVSA recall R/2024/36623 vehicles affected

A cell module may not meet specifications and could short circuit, potentially causing a vehicle fire. Do not charge the battery until the defective cell module is replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    High-Voltage Battery Cell Module J01 J05
    Defect
On affected vehicles a cell module may not have been manufactured to specification. In the worst case this may lead to a short circuit which may result in a vehicle fire.
