    ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE
    Defect
Automobili Lamborghini (Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2011-2014 Gallardo Coupe and Gallardo Spyder vehicles. The Engine Control Unit (ECU) software may erase trouble codes after the ignition is turned off, not illuminating warning lamps and preventing drivers from being warned of safety system problems the next time that they are driving.
    Consequence
If the warning lamps do not indicate a safety system failure such as an engine or fuel injection system malfunction, continuing to drive the vehicle with a faulty system and no warning can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
    Remedy
Lamborghini will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the engine software with the appropriate procedure, free of charge. The recall began December 14, 2018. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's numbers for this recall are L61XR0118/L615R0218.

  3. Rear brake disc screws may fail

Reported October 4, 2013Model years 2007–2009DVSA recall R/2013/111EU Safety Gate A12/1590/13429 vehicles affected

In extreme salt environments, corrosion cracking may cause brake disc screws to fail. If 8 of 10 screws fail, braking at that wheel could be lost, increasing stopping distance. The affected screws will be replaced with a different material.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    REAR BRAKE DISCS MAY DETACH
    Defect
On vehicles fitted with carbon ceramic brakes the stainless steel screws fixing the rotor to the metal bell may fail due to stress corrosion cracking if the vehicle has been used in extreme salt environments. The customer will experience a noise when a screw fails and the brake continues to be 100% effective. However if the affected disc was to lose 8 of the 10 screws there would be a loss of braking at that wheel. Although the maximum bolt failure worldwide has been 3 theoretically the concern could lead to an increase in stopping distance and a collision.
    Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the affected stainless steel screws with a screw of a different material that is not susceptible to stress corrosion cracking.
  4. Brake rotor screws may fail

Reported September 30, 2013Model years 2007–2009NHTSA campaign 13V471000263 vehicles affected

Exposure to salty conditions may cause the brake rotor screws to fail, reducing braking ability and increasing crash risk. Dealers will replace the screws, free of charge.

Reported October 1, 2012Model years 2005–2008DVSA recall R/2012/096582 vehicles affected

Severe, sustained load and pressure in the power steering system may cause a small hole in the high-pressure line, leading to fluid leakage. The line will be replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
