What is the GWM ORA 03?

The ORA 03 is a fully electric hatchback from GWM’s ORA brand. Its rounded styling gives it a distinctive look, while the hatchback body suits everyday driving.

It was sold in the UK as the ORA Funky Cat before GWM adopted the ORA 03 name. The two names refer to the same car. ORA is GWM’s electric-car marque.

Generations and engines

The ORA 03 is in its first generation, known by the code ES11, which dates from 2022. The UK VCA figures cover eight electric versions from 2024 to 2025, with power ranging from 126 kW (171 PS) to 171 kW (232 PS).

The ORA 03 has an electric motor rather than a petrol or diesel engine. Its UK versions span that range of power outputs.
