  1. Starter may contact the battery cable

    Reported May 26, 2026Model years 2025–2026EU Safety Gate SR/01581/26

Insufficient cable protection may allow the starter to contact the battery positive cable, causing an electrical arc or short circuit, smoke and fire. The recall asks end users to return the product.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Fire
    Defect
The starter body may contact the battery’s positive cable due to insufficient cable protection. This could cause an electric arc or short circuit, leading to smoke from the engine compartment and a fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

  2. Urea monitoring test may not run often enough

    Reported November 12, 2025EU Safety Gate SR/04142/25

A fault in the urea consumption monitoring system may prevent its diagnostic test from running often enough to detect low urea use or a blocked injector. The emissions system may not be checked properly, and the vehicle may fail to meet emissions standards. The recall remedy is to recall the product from end users.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Environment
    Defect
Certain vehicles equipped with the DW10F Euro 6.4 engine may have a defect in the system that monitors urea consumption. Because of this issue, the diagnostic test intended to detect problems such as low urea use or a blocked injector may not run often enough. This increases the risk that the emissions system will not be properly checked, which could lead the vehicle to fall short of the required emissions standards. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

  3. Hydrogen tank may leak

    Reported October 24, 2025Model years 2022–2023EU Safety Gate SR/03914/25

Hydrogen may leak from the tank. While driving, detection shuts off the fuel-cell system, leaving battery power with about 30 km of range and no onboard hydrogen recharge. When parked, sensors do not operate, so hydrogen may build up and catch fire. The recall remedy is to recall the product from end users.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Fire
    Defect
A hydrogen leak can occur between the tank’s outer cover and the protective lining. If the vehicle’s hydrogen sensors detect the leak while driving, the fuel-cell system will shut off. The vehicle will then only run in electric (battery) mode, with a very limited range of about 30 km and no ability to recharge hydrogen on board. If the vehicle is parked, the hydrogen sensors do not operate. In this case, hydrogen could build up under the vehicle which increases the risk of hydrogen catching fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.

  4. Rear brake discs may crack

    Reported September 29, 2025Model years 2025EU Safety Gate SR/03549/25

Insufficient contact between the rear brake discs and wheel hub can concentrate stress and cause cracks. Wheel bolts may loosen, a wheel could detach, and braking may be impaired. The recall asks end users to return the product.

    Official EU Safety Gate text
    Component
    Injuries
    Defect
The rear brake discs do not have sufficient contact with the wheel hub, resulting in an abnormal concentration of stress on them. This might cause cracks and a reduced transmission of torque, resulting in the loosening of the wheel bolts, leading to an increased risk of a wheel becoming detached from the vehicle. Moreover, a crack that forms a groove in the surface of a brake disc might impair the braking function, increasing the risk of injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
