Who is BAIC?

BAIC is a Chinese car maker within the Beijing Automotive Group. Its name comes from Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation. The group makes passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and BAIC’s own range includes urban SUVs and tougher-looking off-road models. The model names in this European line-up reflect that split: the X models are crossovers and SUVs, while the BJ models lean towards a more rugged style.

Which BAIC models appear in Europe?

The European line-up spans compact crossovers such as the X25 and X35, larger SUVs including the X55, X7 and X75, and the BJ20, BJ30, BJ40 Pro and BJ60. The two Cirelli models, the Cirelli 2 and Cirelli 4, also appear for 2023. The X35 has the longest run, from 2019 to 2025, followed by the X55, listed from 2020 to 2025. The X55 is the most registered BAIC model in the figures here, with 3,221 EU registrations from 2020 to 2025.

The range changed over the period. The BJ20 and X25 appear at the beginning, while the X75 arrives in 2023 and the BJ30 and BJ60 in 2024. The X7 and BJ40 Pro appear in 2025. These dates show a line-up that broadened from smaller crossovers towards larger and more rugged SUV choices.

How did BAIC’s range develop?

The X35 and X55 anchor the earlier years, with the X35 appearing from 2019 and the X55 from 2020. The BJ20 also features from 2019 to 2021, while the X25 is listed for 2019 and 2020. Later entries add the Cirelli 2 and Cirelli 4 in 2023, then the X75, BJ30 and BJ60 across 2023–2025. The X7 and BJ40 Pro round out the latest year shown.

Among the later models, the X75 recorded 906 EU registrations from 2023 to 2025, and the X7 737 in 2025. The X35 registered 679 from 2019 to 2025; the BJ30 recorded 614 and the BJ60 73, both from 2024 to 2025. Earlier, the BJ20 recorded 158 from 2019 to 2021 and the X25 146 from 2019 to 2020.

Where do BAIC cars appear, and how is the range electrified?

The market figures here are EU registrations, covering the European Economic Area. That gives a view of BAIC’s European presence; it does not describe its sales in other regions. The models listed are SUVs and crossovers, from the compact X25 and X35 to the larger X55, X7 and X75, alongside the BJ family’s more robust styling.

The listed BAIC models are not identified as battery-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.
