Two-way traffic ahead

Two-way traffic begins ahead, so expect vehicles approaching from the opposite direction.

Keep to your side of the road and watch for oncoming vehicles. The warning is normally placed before a one-way carriageway becomes two-way.

The symbol shows two black arrows pointing in opposite directions. The United Kingdom’s 521 uses a red-bordered triangle, while the United States’ W6-3 and Australia’s W4-11 use yellow diamonds.

Official sign in each country; the code is its number in the national rules. Signs that come in two directions show the left and the right version.
