Stop
Priority signs

Stop

Stop completely at the stop line, or before the junction if there is no line, and give way to traffic with priority.

Come to a complete stop even if the road appears clear. Stop at the marked line; if there is no line, stop before entering the junction where you can check for approaching traffic.

The Vienna Convention model B,2a is a red octagon with a white border and white stop lettering. Japan’s 330-A is a red inverted triangle with a white border, Japanese lettering and the word STOP.

How it looks in each country

Official sign in each country; the code is its number in the national rules. Signs that come in two directions show the left and the right version.
