Reduce speed before reaching the hump and cross it smoothly. An accompanying panel may indicate a series of humps or the length of the affected section.
Common triangular designs show a single black hump within a red border. The United States’ W8-1 is a yellow diamond marked BUMP and can also warn of a rise in the surface that is not an artificial speed hump.
