Loose gravel

Loose stones may lie on the road and be thrown up by passing vehicles.

Slow down and leave extra room from other vehicles to reduce the risk of stone damage. Loose material can also reduce tyre grip.

The United States’ W8-7 uses a yellow diamond bearing the words LOOSE GRAVEL. France’s AK22 is a temporary red-bordered triangle with a yellow background and a symbol showing stones being thrown up by a vehicle.
