Ford

The road crosses water at a ford.

A ford carries the road through a watercourse at road level. Approach with care, as water depth and current can change.

Australia's W5-6 uses the word FORD on a yellow diamond. The United States W8-18 reads ROAD MAY FLOOD and warns of flooding, which does not necessarily mean there is a ford.
