Flagger ahead
Road works signs

Flagger ahead

Slow down and be ready to stop or follow the directions of a traffic controller ahead.

This sign warns of a person controlling traffic ahead, usually near roadworks. Slow down and be ready to stop. Follow the controller's paddle, flag or hand signals when you reach them.

In the United States, CW20-7 uses an orange diamond with a black flagger symbol, as does Mexico's SPP-3. Canada's TC-021 also warns of a traffic controller ahead.
