Warning signs

Falling rocks

Rocks may fall onto the road or already be on it; watch the road and avoid sudden manoeuvres.

The sign warns of falling or fallen rocks, usually beside a cliff, steep slope or cutting. Watch for debris on the carriageway and slow down as needed.

Poland A-25 and France A19 show rocks falling from a slope inside a red-bordered triangle. Poland uses a yellow background, while France uses white. The United States W8-14 is a yellow diamond with the words FALLEN ROCKS.

How it looks in each country

Official sign in each country; the code is its number in the national rules. Signs that come in two directions show the left and the right version.
