Crosswind

Strong side winds may push your vehicle sideways, especially on exposed roads or when passing large vehicles.

The sign warns of strong side winds on an exposed stretch of road. Keep a firm grip on the steering wheel and be ready for sudden gusts.

The common European symbol is a windsock inside a red-bordered triangle. Poland A-19 has a yellow background, while France A24 has a white background. The United States W8-21 is a yellow diamond with the words GUSTY WINDS AREA.
