Injection computer software may prevent starting
Without a software update, the vehicle may break down or fail to start. The injection computer will be reprogrammed.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- Injection Computer Software Update
- Defect
- For certain vehicles reprogramming of the injection computer is required. Without this software update it could lead to breakdown or the vehicle failing to start.
- Remedy
- Reprogramme the injection computer
Parking brake actuator may fail
The parking brake actuator may fail to position the locking pawl correctly in the “P lock”. The actuator or gearbox engagement actuator will be replaced.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- Risk of parking brake actuator failing
- Defect
- For certain vehicles a concern involving the electric traction reducer parking brake mechanism actuator or gearbox engagement actuator within the transmission may result in the parking brake mechanism actuator no longer correctly positioning the locking pawl in the âP lockâ.
- Remedy
- Replacement of the electric traction reducer parking brake mechanism actuator or gearbox Engagement Actuator.
LPG container seal may be missing
A missing seal between the solenoid valve block and LPG container may cause an LPG leak and create a fire risk. The product is recalled from end users.
Official EU Safety Gate text
- Component
- Fire
- Defect
- Due to an inappropriate manufacturing process, the gasket seal between the solenoid valve block and the LPG container may be missing. This can cause an LPG leak. As LPG is inflammable, there is a risk of the vehicle catching fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
- Remedy
- Recall of the product from end users
- Notes
- Notified by France
Fixed glass sunroof may detach while driving
The fixed glass sunroof may detach while driving. The bonding will be checked and the sunroof replaced if required.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- POSSIBLE DETACHMENT OF THE FIXED GLASS SUNROOF WHILST DRIVING
- Defect
- Possible detachment of the fixed glass sunroof while driving.
- Remedy
- Check the bonding and replace if required replace the fixed glass sunroof.
Alternator wiring may cause an electrical short
Positive alternator wiring may contact the alternator casing and cause an electrical short circuit. The wiring route will be modified and the alternator replaced if necessary.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- CONTACT BETWEEN THE POSITIVE ALTERNATOR WIRING AND THE ALTERNATOR CASING COULD CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUIT
- Defect
- Contact between the positive alternator wiring and the alternator casing which could cause an electrical short circuit.
- Remedy
- Modify the wiring route and if necessary replace the alternator
Seatbelt buckle bolt may be loose or missing
The left seatbelt buckle bolt may be incorrectly tightened or missing. The bolt will be checked and replaced if it is missing or lacks the factory torque marking.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- THE LEFT HAND SIDE SEATBELT BUCKLE (REEL) FIXING BOLT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN SET TO CORRECT TORQUE OR MAY BE OR BECOME MISSING
- Defect
- The left hand seatbelt fixing bolt may not have been set to the correct torque.
- Remedy
- Check for the presence of the bolt and factory torque confirmation marking. If either are not present replace the bolt.
Catalytic converter welds may be incorrect
The catalytic converter may have incorrect welds. Dealers will check the welds and replace the converter if necessary.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- INCORRECT WELDING OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR
- Defect
- Incorrect welding of the catalytic convertor.
- Remedy
- Check the welding of the catalytic converter and replace it if necessary.
Catalytic converter weld may leak exhaust gas
An incorrect weld may allow exhaust gas to leak into the engine compartment. The product is recalled from end users.
Official EU Safety Gate text
- Component
- Injuries
- Defect
- The catalytic converter has not been correctly welded. As a consequence, exhaust gas may leak into the engine compartment.
- Remedy
- Recall of the product from end users
- Notes
- Notified by France
Dipped headlights may not illuminate the road sufficiently
The dipped beam may not adjust correctly when switched on and may not illuminate the road sufficiently. The headlight beam sensor will be adjusted.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- DIPPED HEADLIGHT MAY FAIL TO LIGHT THE ROAD AHEAD TO SUFFICIENT LEVEL
- Defect
- Headlight (dipped beam) may not adjust correctly when switched on and therefore not light the road ahead sufficiently.
- Remedy
- On affected vehicles make an adjustment of the headlight beam sensor.
Front wheel hub may crack
A front wheel hub may crack, causing abnormal noise and, in extreme cases, hub failure. The hubs will be checked and replaced if required.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- FRONT WHEEL HUBS MAY CRACK
- Defect
- The front wheel hub may suffer cracking. Drivers may notice abnormal noise and in extreme cases the hub may fail.
- Remedy
- On affected vehicles check manufacturing date of the wheel hubs and replace if required
NOx trap may become less efficient
An engine management calibration error could cause sulphur to build up in the NOx after-treatment system, reducing the trap's effectiveness at cleaning NOx emissions. The product is recalled from end users.
Official EU Safety Gate text
- Component
- Environment
- Defect
- null Due to a calibration error in the engine management controller, the after-treatment system for nitrogen oxides (NOx) is progressively saturated with sulphur. This leads to bad functioning of the nitrogen oxides (NOx) trap, reducing its efficiency in decontaminating NOx emissions.
- Remedy
- Recall of the product from end users
- Notes
- Notified by France
Front brake hoses may rub against wheel liners
Mispositioned front wheel liners may rub against the brake hoses, potentially increasing pedal travel and reducing braking efficiency. Dealers will inspect the liners and hoses and replace them if incorrectly positioned; the remedy says this is free of charge.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- LOSS OF BRAKING EFFICIENCY
- Defect
- It is possible that the front wheel liners have been incorrectly positioned giving potential for them to rub against the front brake hoses. This in turn could in rare circumstances cause increased brake pedal travel and affect the braking efficiency of the vehicle. This issue may be highlighted by a warning message Braking system fault and a warning light on the dashboard.
- Remedy
- Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and inspect the front wheel arch liners and brake hoses. If they are found to be incorrectly positioned they will be replaced free of charge.
