  1. Fuel heater may cause a fuel leak

Reported December 9, 2015Model years 2012–2014DVSA recall R/2015/241EU Safety Gate A12/1317/1589,831 vehicles affected

A defective fuel heater may overheat its electrical connector, distort the cover and let air into the fuel circuit, making the engine difficult or impossible to start. A diesel leak may also develop. The cover will be replaced and the connector inspected and replaced if necessary.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    FUEL MAY LEAK
    Defect
The fuel heating device integrated in to the diesel fuel filter cover may be defective and allow heat to build up within the electrical supply connector causing the cover to distort and air to enter the fuel circuit. This could make the vehicles difficult to start and a warning light will be illuminated on the dash board. The engine could be difficult or not possible to start. In the worst cases a diesel fuel leak could eventually appear.
    Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the fuel heater cover. Additionally the electrical connector will be inspected and where necessary replaced.
  2. Fuel return pipe may wear through

Reported February 22, 2011Model years 2009–2010DVSA recall R/2011/01714,170 vehicles affected

The fuel return pipe may rub against the diesel filter support and wear through, potentially causing a fuel leak. Protection will be added to the pipe to prevent wear.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    FUEL MAY LEAK
    Defect
On some 2.0 l HDI vehicles potential contact between the fuel return pipe and the diesel filter support may eventually cause the pipe to become worn through friction.
    Remedy
The manufacturer has requested that some protection be added to the pipe to ensure its long-term resistance to wear.
  3. Front brake hoses may deteriorate and leak

Reported June 15, 2010Model years 2009–2010DVSA recall R/2010/064217 vehicles affected

Contact with other components may wear the front brake hoses until they leak, reducing braking efficiency. Both front brake hoses will be replaced.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    LOSS OF BRAKING EFFICIENCY.
    Defect
Over a period of time it is possible for the front brake hoses to deteriorate through contact with other components. If left for some time it is possible that the brake hoses will leak fluid and there to be a loss of braking efficiency.
    Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace both the front brake flexi hoses.
