- Component
- Nv400 X62 AdBlue Dosing Inactive
- Defect
- For affected vehicles the AdBlue Dosing Module may not have been initialised during the production process. In this condition the AdBlue Dosing Module does not trigger AdBlue injection and therefore NOx emissions are not controlled.
- Remedy
- The AdBlue dosing control module (ADCM) activation status will be checked. If it is not active the AdBlue Injector will be replaced and the AdBlue Dosing Control Module activated.
Fuel pipe may be too close to engine wiring
The fuel pipe may be out of specification and have insufficient clearance from the engine wiring harness. It will be checked, replaced if necessary, and fitted with a rigid spacer.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- NV400 (X62) GEN4 Fuel Pipe
- Defect
- On certain vehicles Fuel Pipe characteristics may be out of specification and may have insufficient clearance between fuel pipe and engine harness.
- Remedy
- Check of the fuel inlet pipe replacing if necessary and installing a rigid spacer on the pipe.
Injector sealing washers may leak exhaust gas
Injector clamp bolts may be insufficiently tightened, allowing exhaust gas to leak past the injector sealing washers. Replace sealing washers, retaining plates, bolts and pipes as necessary, and tighten to the correct torque.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- The torque value given in the Repair bulletin for R/2022/254 for the injector clamp bolts was insufficient. Under specific driving conditions this can cause the leakage of exhaust gasses past the injector sealing washer.
- Defect
- The torque value given in the Repair bulletin for R/2022/254 for the injector clamp bolts was insufficient. Under specific driving conditions this can cause the leakage of exhaust gasses past the injector sealing washer.
- Remedy
- Replace all injector sealing washers retaining plates bolts and pipes as necessary and tighten with the correct torque.
Fuel may enter injector actuator units
Fuel may enter the piezo-electric actuator units within the fuel injectors. Affected injectors will be replaced with countermeasure parts.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- Potential fuel ingress into a piezo-electric actuator unit within the fuel injectors.
- Defect
- Potential fuel ingress into a piezo-electric actuator unit within the fuel injectors.
- Remedy
- Replace the injector/s with a countermeasure part.
Rear brake caliper may fail when parking brake is used
The right-hand rear brake caliper could fail when the parking brake is activated. The remedy is to inspect it and replace it where necessary.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- THE RIGHT HAND REAR BRAKE CALIPER COULD FAIL DURING AN ACTIVATION OF THE PARKING BRAKE
- Defect
- The Right-Hand Rear Brake Caliper could fail during an activation of the parking brake.
- Remedy
- Inspect and where necessary replace right hand rear brake caliper.
Fuel supply pipe may wear against cylinder head cover
The fuel supply pipe may contact the cylinder head cover and wear. The pipe will be inspected and a protector fitted; the pipe will be replaced if necessary.
Official DVSA recall text
- Component
- THE FUEL SUPPLY PIPE MAY CONTACT THE CYLINDER HEAD COVER
- Defect
- Contact of the fuel supply pipe with the cylinder head cover causing pipe wear.
- Remedy
- Carry out a visual inspection of the fuel supply pipe and fit a pipe protector. If necessary replace the fuel supply pipe.
High-pressure fuel pump connection may leak
Diesel may leak under pressure at the internal high-pressure pump connection due to incorrect application of the procedure while the engine is running. Fuel in the engine compartment increases fire risk. The product is recalled from end users.
Official EU Safety Gate text
- Component
- Fire
- Defect
- Leak of diesel under pressure to the internal connection of the HP pump, owing to incomplete and incorrect application of the operating procedure when the engine is running. The fuel leakage in the engine compartment could increase the risk of fire. The product does not comply with the requirements laid down in the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
- Remedy
- Recall of the product from end users
- Notes
- Notified by France
Tow-bar connector pins may be mispositioned
Mispositioned pins in the electrical tow-bar connector may cause trailer lights to malfunction and may cause a thermal incident in the trailer's auxiliary battery, increasing fire risk. The product is being recalled from end users.
Official EU Safety Gate text
- Component
- Fire
- Defect
- The pins on the electrical tow-bar connector may be incorrectly positioned. This could lead to the improper functioning of the trailer lights, increasing the risk of an accident. Moreover, this could lead to a thermal incident in the trailer's integrated auxiliary battery, increasing the risk of fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
- Remedy
- Recall of the product from end users
