What is the Mitsubishi Cordia?
The Cordia was a compact, three-door liftback coupé. Its sloping roof gave it a sporty shape, while the rear hatch made it useful for everyday trips. It shared Mitsubishi’s front-wheel-drive approach with the Tredia sedan and was designed to combine a roomy interior with compact exterior dimensions.
The Cordia’s wedge-shaped body, flush surfaces and concealed roof-edge rain channels were part of Mitsubishi’s effort to reduce aerodynamic drag. The company introduced the Cordia to the US in the 1980s as it expanded its own-branded range there.
