Who is Lordstown?
Lordstown Motors was an American electric vehicle company based in Lordstown, Ohio. It set out to build electric light-duty vehicles for commercial fleets, drawing on the area’s long automotive manufacturing history. Its name became closely linked to one vehicle: the Endurance, an all-electric full-size pickup.
The company entered Chapter 11 proceedings in 2023. The Endurance remains the sole Lordstown model listed here, with figures for the United States under EPA testing.
What is the Lordstown Endurance?
The Endurance was designed as a work truck for fleet customers. Its full-size pickup format gives it the familiar practical role of carrying people and equipment, while its electric powertrain set it apart from conventional pickups. It was the first vehicle in Lordstown’s planned range, rather than one model among several established lines.
How did the Lordstown range develop?
The range stayed focused on a single nameplate: the Endurance, listed for 2023. There are no earlier Lordstown model lines or later generations represented here, so the story is brief: the company concentrated on bringing its first electric pickup to market, and the range did not expand beyond it.
Where can you find Lordstown figures?
Lordstown appears in the United States market under EPA testing. There are no Lordstown models listed for the European Union, the UK, France or Canada. Test results are market-specific: Europe uses WLTP or, for older cars, NEDC; the United States uses EPA procedures; and Canada uses a five-cycle test. Figures from different systems should therefore be read in their own context.
