    Remedy
Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began May 4, 2020. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 or Lexus customer service at 1-800-255-3987. AIR BAGS:SIDE/WINDOW
    Defect
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2016 Toyota Prius and Lexus RX 350, RX 350 F Sport, RX 450h F Sport and RX 450h vehicles and 2015-2016 Lexus NX 200T, NX Turbo and NX 300h vehicles. The air bag pressure sensors and/or the acceleration sensors may fail causing the side/curtain shield air bags and/or the front air bags to not deploy in the event of a crash.
    Consequence
If the air bags fail to deploy in a crash, it can increase the risk of injury.
    Remedy
Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the sensors as necessary based on their serial numbers, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 12, 2018. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are JLA, J0F.

  22. Parking brake may not set automatically

Reported January 16, 2017Model years 2014–2016DVSA recall R/2016/29518,226 vehicles affected

A software issue may prevent the parking brake from setting when Brake Hold or Hill Assist is deactivated. If the transmission is left in gear, the vehicle could creep and increase collision risk. The Brake Control Module will be reprogrammed.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
PARKING BRAKE MAY NOT ACTIVATE CORRECTLY
    Defect
It has been identified that due to the incorrect programming of the Brake Control Module there is a possibility that the parking brake may not be set automatically when the Brake Hold or Hill Assist System is deactivated by certain conditions for example the unfastening of the drivers seat belt while the system is enabled. When this occurs the system is designed to deactivate the brake hold function sound a warning buzzer display a message in the instrument cluster and automatically set the parking brake. If this should occur and the transmission is left in a gear other than Park then the vehicle could creep forward or backward increasing the risk of a collision.
    Remedy
Recall all the affected vehicles and reprogramme the Brake Control Module with the new correct software.
  23. ABS actuator may delay brake pressure control

Reported July 10, 2015Model years 2014–2015DVSA recall R/2015/11025 vehicles affected

Resin fragments may become stuck in the ABS actuator and delay oil pressure control when the anti-lock brakes operate, reducing stability and increasing crash risk. The actuator will be replaced where necessary.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    LOSS OF STABILITY
    Defect
The subject vehicles are equipped with the Anti-Lock Braking system (ABS) Traction Control System (TRAC) and Vehicle Stability Control System (VSC) which are controlled by the ABS actuator. Due to the improper shape of a component inside the ABS actuator there is a possibility that a resin component could be damaged during its press fitting assembly creating minute resin fragment(s) which could become stuck in the actuator. If this occurs the oil pressure control may be delayed when the Anti-Lock Brakes are activated causing a loss of vehicle stability and increasing the risk of a crash.
    Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and where necessary replace the ABS Actuator with a new one.
