  1. Brake assistance may be lost

Reported October 22, 2009Model years 2004–2007DVSA recall R/2009/121676 vehicles affected

Residual low pressure in the braking vacuum circuit may cause loss of power assistance when braking. A calibrated air vent will be fitted in the vacuum circuit.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    BRAKE PERFORMANCE MAY BE AFFECTED
    Defect
Residual low pressure persists in the power braking vacuum circuit which may result in the loss of power assistance when braking.
    Remedy
Recall affected vehicles to fit a calibrated air vent in the vacuum circuit.
  2. Engine relay unit may cause equipment faults

Reported December 24, 2008Model years 2008DVSA recall R/2008/19942,217 vehicles affected

An incorrect engine relay unit may deteriorate and cause operating faults or failure of some equipment. The unit will be checked and replaced if it is not to the correct specification.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
WIPERS / LIGHTS/ BATTERY CHARGING MAY BE AFFECTED.
    Defect
An incorrect engine relay unit may have been fitted. This ECU could deteriorate and cause operating faults and perhaps failure of certain equipment
    Remedy
Recall affected vehicles check Engine Relay Unit and replace if not correct specification.
  3. Diesel return pipe may abrade and leak

Reported July 28, 2008Model years 2006–2008DVSA recall R/2008/1156,444 vehicles affected

The diesel return pipe may wear through and leak fuel. The pipe will be inspected; if damaged, it will be replaced, and if undamaged, reinforcement will be fitted.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
POSSIBLE LEAKAGE FROM THE DIESEL RETURN PIPE FIXED TO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD.
    Defect
It has been identified that the diesel fuel return pipe which is fixed to the inlet manifold may be abraded to the extent that if left undetected will leak.
    Remedy
Recalled vehicles as a preventative measure will have the pipe inspected for damage. If any is found the pipe will be replaced. In cases where the pipe remains undamaged it will be fitted with reinforcement.
  4. Brake assistance may be reduced

Reported February 20, 2008Model years 2005–2006DVSA recall R/2008/021426 vehicles affected

Oil may seep into the brake assistance circuit and damage the brake amplifier membrane, reducing braking assistance. Replace the vacuum circuit valve and pipe linking the vacuum pump to the brake amplifier.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    BRAKING ASSISTANCE MAY BE LOST
    Defect
Possible oil seepage in the brake assistance circuit that could damage the brake amplifier membrane and reduce braking assistance.
    Remedy
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the vacuum circuit valve and pipe which link the vacuum pump to the brake amplifier.
  5. Brake assistance may be reduced

Reported February 18, 2008Model years 2007DVSA recall R/2008/022161 vehicles affected

Oil may seep into the brake assistance circuit and damage the brake amplifier membrane, reducing braking assistance. The remedy is to replace the vacuum circuit valve and pipe linking the vacuum pump to the brake amplifier.

  6. Diesel fuel return pipe may leak

Reported December 11, 2006Model years 2006DVSA recall R/2006/214126 vehicles affected

A restriction in the diesel fuel return pipe may cause a leak at the fuel connector. Fuel delivery pressure will be checked and the pipe replaced if it does not meet specifications.

    Official DVSA recall text
    Component
    POSSIBILITY OF FUEL LEAK
    Defect
It has been identified that on certain vehicles a fault may be present on the diesel fuel circuit return pipe ay the location of the pressure sensor. In the manufacture of the pipe an excess of material resulted in a reduction of the pipe's internal diameter therefore restricting the fuel flow and a risk of a diesel leak from the fuel connector.
    Remedy
Subject vehicles will have the diesel fuel delivery pressure in the injection pump checked. This will check the conformity of the pipe which in the case of nonconformity will be replaced.
