What is the MG F?
The MG F is a two-seat sports roadster with a mid-mounted engine driving the rear wheels. Its rounded styling gave the classic roadster idea a modern shape, while the engine layout set it apart within MG’s sports-car tradition.
The F also used Hydragas suspension, an interconnected system of fluid and gas units. It was a distinctive feature of the car’s engineering.
MG F generations
The MG F generation ran from 1995 to 2001. It was MG’s first all-new sports car since the MGB. A later model adopted the historic TF name and brought substantial changes, including conventional coil-spring suspension.
