What is the Lexus IS?

The IS is Lexus’s compact sports sedan, a four-door model with a rear-wheel-drive heritage. Its history began in 1999, and it sits among the smaller sedans in the Lexus range. Over the years, the IS has been offered with a broad mix of engines.

The listed generations are the first (2001–2005), second (2006–2013), third (2014–2020) and fourth (2021–today). The EU figures span 2010–2021, while UK figures cover 2002–2020. The fourth generation appears in US and Canadian figures.
